Curriculum, Hazelden Lifelines, Grades 5-12

This edition of Posvention helps schools develop a responsive strategy with detailed plans and best-practice recommendations to educate students in late elementary, middle school, and high school grades (grades 5-12) along with the whole school community on how to address and respond to a suicide or other traumatic death that has a profound impact on the school’s population. A flash drive with three slides shows and resources for administrators, faculty and staff, parents and guardians, and students is included with this curriculum. Also included are resources that help school leaders reduce the risk of suicide contagion (“copycat”) behavior within the school district.
