This documentary explains how choices made now can damage health now and in the future. The program profiles overweight teens with high cholesterol, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and other problems. Viewers learn how teen smokers are at a greater risk for cancer and chronic lung disease and often already suffer respiratory problems impacting daily life. A teen alcoholic is also profiled and viewers see the impact of alcoholism on the teen’s physical and emotional well-being. The program identifies healthy behaviors and urges viewers to make smart choices to improve health now and in the future by quitting smoking, avoiding alcohol, eating a balanced diet, avoiding stress and getting enough sleep. Program includes a teacher’s resource book, student activities, fact sheets, and more.
