History and Staff

History

Established in 1984, the Southeastern Prevention Resource Center has been serving 21 counties by providing the following services:

  • Training hundreds of adults and youth yearly
  • Providing specialty library services and information, without
    charge
  • Offering technical assistance to prevention partners to build
    programs and services.
  • Providing support to coalitions to create healthier and safer
    communities

Volunteers of America Dakotas – Prevention Resource Center (PRC) dedicates its efforts to the following:

  • Creating safe families, schools, and communities
  • Preventing the misuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs
